On May 7, 2020, we (Federico & Miriam) participated in a video debate that was organized by Extinction Rebellion Wetenschappers. The debate was held in the very early months of the Covid-pandemic. It was about how to develop an economy that can do without incessant GDP growth and generates human wellbeing without the destruction of planetary ecosystems. Together with us, Crelis Rammelt from the University of Amsterdam and Martin Calisto Friant from the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development in Utrecht participated. All of us are part of the Dutch degrowth network Ontgroei.
